1. Role of Istina

Istina acts solely as a technology platform that enables users to create and participate in contests.

Istina is not the organizer, sponsor, or promoter of any contest and does not offer, fund, or guarantee prizes or prize pools.

Each contest is created and managed by an independent creator.

2. Contest Information

Each contest includes the following information, as defined by the creator:

Contest name
Start date and time
End date and time
Location and location instructions (if applicable)
Visibility (public or invite-only)
Category
Entry limits (if any)
Type of content accepted (photos, videos, or both)
Description and contest rules

You are responsible for reviewing all contest details and rules before participating.

3. Participation Conditions

Participation in a contest may be:

Free, or
Paid, requiring payment in USDC.

If participation is paid:

the entry fee is clearly displayed before you join;
payments are final unless otherwise stated in the contest rules or required by law.

USDC is a digital stablecoin designed to maintain a value approximately equal to one United States dollar (1 USDC ≈ 1 USD).

Unless otherwise stated in the contest rules or required by applicable law, participation fees are non-refundable. Refund conditions, if any, are governed by the Event Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Payment Responsibility: Entry fees go directly to the creator (net after Istina platform fee). Istina provides technical facilitation only. Refunds governed by creator rules and Event Cancellation Policy. Istina is not liable for non‑delivery of prizes or creator issues except as required by law.

Nothing in this notice affects any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. Immediate Performance & Withdrawal Rights

By participating in this contest, you expressly request immediate access to the service and acknowledge that, once participation begins, you lose any applicable right of withdrawal under EU/EEA consumer law.

5. Content Submission

Depending on the contest settings, participants may be allowed to submit:

photos and videos,
videos only, or
photos only.

Only submissions that comply with:

the contest description,
the stated rules, and
Istina’s Terms of Service

may be considered valid.

6. Ranking and Winners

Contest ranking is determined automatically by Istina’s technical mechanisms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

ranking is based on the number of likes received by eligible submissions;
in the event of a tie, ranking is determined by the earliest valid submission.

Creators cannot modify or override the ranking mechanism.

7. Prizes

A contest may include prizes for participants.

Prizes, if any, are funded and offered by the contest creator, not by Istina.
Istina does not guarantee the value, delivery, or outcome of any prize.
Some contests may award prizes to the top three (3) winners.
Some contests may offer no prizes or prizes organized directly by the creator outside the platform.

prize distribution may occur via on-chain smart contracts;
blockchain transactions are public and irreversible.

8. Creator-Managed Prizes

If the creator chooses to organize prizes independently (outside Istina’s prize features), this must be clearly stated in the contest description and rules.

In such cases, Istina is not involved in prize handling or distribution.

9. No Guarantee of Outcome

By participating, you acknowledge that:

participation does not guarantee winning;
prizes, rankings, and participation levels are not guaranteed;
Istina does not guarantee contest integrity beyond its technical mechanisms.

10. Real-World Participation and Safety

Some contests may involve real-world locations or activities.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

participation is voluntary and at your own risk;
you are responsible for your own safety and conduct;
you must comply with all applicable laws, property rules, and safety instructions.

You must not:

trespass on private property;
access restricted or unsafe areas;
engage in dangerous or unlawful behavior.

Istina does not verify locations and does not assume responsibility for participant safety.

11. Legal and Age Restrictions

Participation is limited to users 18 years of age or older.

Jurisdictional Restrictions: Paid‑entry contests with prizes are prohibited or heavily regulated in certain jurisdictions (e.g., some US states may require registration or have strict rules; paid entry contests with prizes are prohibited in Vermont and Maryland, and are restricted in Arizona; some EU countries may restrict paid contests). If you are located in a jurisdiction where paid‑entry contests are illegal or require registration/approval, you must not participate.

Istina does not verify compliance with local contest, sweepstakes, or gambling laws. You are solely responsible for ensuring participation is lawful where you reside. Certain contests may be geo‑restricted by creators or Istina.

Violations may result in entry invalidation, account suspension, or prize forfeiture.
