Event Creator Declaration
By creating and publishing an event on Istina, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. Platform Role
Istina acts solely as a technology platform that enables users to create, host, and promote events.
Istina is not the organizer, sponsor, or promoter of any event.
2. Creator Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your event, including its content, organization, promotion, pricing, execution, and communications with participants.
You acknowledge that any promotion or marketing of an event is your sole responsibility and must comply with applicable advertising, consumer protection, and promotional laws.
3. Payments, Fees, and Taxes
If your event is paid:
- You are responsible for setting prices, handling cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks, and complying with applicable tax and consumer-protection obligations.
- Istina may deduct applicable platform fees from payments processed through the Service.
- Istina does not guarantee ticket sales, attendance, revenue, or financial outcomes.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
You agree to comply with the Event Cancellation & Refund Policy and to clearly disclose your event’s cancellation and refund conditions to participants prior to registration or purchase.
5. Consumer Law Disclosure
You acknowledge that certain EU/EEA consumers may have statutory withdrawal rights unless they expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge the loss of such rights. You agree not to misrepresent withdrawal or refund rights and to comply with applicable consumer protection laws when promoting your event.
6. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that your event, and its promotion, complies with all applicable laws and regulations in each jurisdiction where it is promoted or accessible, including consumer-protection, advertising, and public-safety laws.
7. Real‑World Safety and Venue Responsibility
You acknowledge that events may involve real‑world locations and in‑person interactions. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your event, including its venue, access instructions, and any on‑site activities, is safe, lawful, and appropriate for participants. You represent and warrant that your event does not require trespassing, unlawful access, or dangerous behavior and does not interfere with private property, restricted areas, or public safety. Istina does not inspect or verify venues or real‑world conditions and does not assume responsibility for participant safety.
8. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this declaration limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Content and Rights
You confirm that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and authorizations to create, promote, and host the event and to use any related content, including text, images, media, and branding.
10. Enforcement
Istina reserves the right to suspend, modify, or remove any event at any time if necessary to:
- enforce its Terms of Service or policies,
- comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or
- protect users or the integrity of the Service.
11. Acceptance of Governing Documents
By publishing an event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by:
You acknowledge that participants in your event are subject to the applicable Event Participation Notice, which you must not contradict or override.
You are responsible for ensuring that your description is consistent with the Event Participation Notice.
